Yup, that sure is a bigger Pixel Watch battery.

When the Pixel Watch 4 design leaked looking thicker than we’re used to, we figured Google was doubling down on battery.

According to a new leak from Android Authority, we were right, though with less than 10 percent extra capacity, “doubling” it is not. The site also says Google is sticking with the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chip for the third year running while it develops its own chip for the Pixel Watch 5.

    Tesla’s India launch isn’t a short-term fix.

Don’t expect Elon’s EV company to turn its fortunes around any time soon after launching in India today. It may be the world’s third-biggest auto market, but EVs make up less than 5 percent.

Throw in heavy auto import tariffs that leave the Indian Model Y priced almost a third more than in the US, and it’s clear Tesla should expect a slow start.

Nvidia says it can sell AI chips to China again.

The company has been “assured” by the US government that licenses to sell its H20 GPU will be granted, and hopes to resume deliveries “soon” — along with launching a new RTX Pro GPU for China too.

Nvidia has been lobbying for the right to sell the H20 to Chinese customers, since that’s what it was designed for — it’s a stripped back chip built to match US export controls.

    Superman’s an all-American hit again.

Director James Gunn’s DCU reboot scored $122 million in the US this weekend, the best launch ever for a Superman solo pick, and the biggest comic opening since Deadpool & Wolverine.

That’s a strong start, but $95 million in the rest of the world is less impressive, suggesting the Man of Steel hasn’t entirely shed the patriotic sheen that Trump tried to take advantage of. That probably hurts its hopes of joining the billion dollar club.

Starlink is getting closer to launching in India.

Elon Musk’s satellite connectivity tech just got the go-ahead from India’s space regulator, two months after getting approval from the country’s Department of Telecommunications.

It still needs to secure spectrum and clear some security tests, but an Indian launch — in the works since 2021 — is now almost an inevitability. The only thing we don’t know is how much the US government helped make it happen.
