Refine your own macrodata for the low, low price of $899.

That’s how much Atomic Keyboard is charging for its MDR Dasher keyboard, based on Apple TV’s Severance, though early adopters can save $300 with a $10 deposit. That gets you an aluminum keyboard with a trackball and swappable magnetic top sheet that enables three different layouts, depending on how show-accurate you feel like being.

If it’s a little steep for you, $197 gets you Signature Plastics’ Macrodata Refinement keycap set to upgrade an existing board.

Innie matches the show’s keyboard, but lacks keys like Escape, Command, and Control.
Outie is closer to a traditional 60 percent layout, with Severance flourishes like the trackball.
Dasher recreates the original DG Dasher D2 the show’s board is based on.

Tecno gives us our best look yet at Samsung’s trifold.

The Phantom Ultimate G Fold is only a concept phone, so don’t expect it to ever go on sale, but it’s the most complete trifold we’ve seen yet that folds inward on both sides — the same design we think Samsung is going to use for its upcoming trifold.

Tecno says it’ll show off the G Fold at Mobile World Congress in February 2026, but by then Samsung’s trifold should already be out.

Crypto crime in 2025 is topping last year’s totals already.

More than $2.17 billion has been stolen from crypto services this year, more than the entirety of 2024, according to a report from blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis. Then again, most of that came from a single hack — a $1.46 billion heist of Bybit linked to North Korean hackers, the largest crypto theft in history — and without that, the numbers would look a little rosier.

Salt Typhoon hacked the National Guard too.

A Department of Homeland Security memo, obtained by Property of the People through a freedom of information request, reveals the group — suspected to have links to China — “extensively compromised a U.S. state’s Army National Guard network” for nine months last year.

Salt Typhoon gained notoriety in 2024 for hacking telecom networks, targeting the Trump and Harris campaigns, though earlier this month a top FBI official said the group is “largely contained.”

Samsung chairman acquitted all over again.

Today Korea’s Supreme Court cleared Lee Jae-yong of stock manipulation charges related to a merger which helped him take control of the company founded by his grandfather. He was acquitted by a lower court last February, which prosecutors appealed, but the country’s top court sided with the Samsung man.

In 2017 he was found guilty of bribery and embezzlement, but later released from prison on appeal and pardoned in 2022. He’s currently Samsung’s executive chairman.

Threads is going for the boomers.

Meta appears to be testing the option to sign up for its X rival with a Facebook account, as it slowly separates Threads from its Instagram origins, with a support page but no official announcement yet. It opens up a new audience for the app, which is closing in on X’s daily active user numbers.

Look out.

Next year’s Supergirl movie promises to be a little more rough and ready than Superman, so this first official look at the film suits it well.

Milly Alcock plays the Kryptonian cousin, following a cameo in Superman, in a story adapting the comics’ Woman of Tomorrow arc. It’s DC’s next movie, followed by Clayface, a body horror take on the Batman villain.
