The live lyrics in Apple Music are pretty handy, so it’s nice to see them come to people using YouTube Music. Seems like a big improvement over the previous lyrics feature, too.

Given the tablet is designed to be docked, this makes a lot of sense to me. Mishaal Rahman has the details.
BasedAF, a company “with a focus on creating content about, around, and within the metaverse,” recreated the MKBHD studio inside of Fortnite using Epic Games’ UEFN tools. You can learn more about how the BasedAF team made it in another video. (Warning that this video is... hyperactive.)
I’m guessing the video is being published today because of the new Fortnite season.
The company announced “early access to the X Hiring Beta” that’s available to Verified Organizations (aka gold checks that pay X / Twitter at least $1,000 per month for the privilege). Organizations that use it can feature job listings on their X profiles — you can see how it works on Vercel’s profile.

An FCC filing revealed a pill-shaped design for what appeared to be the next Galaxy SmartTag 2, and now a UK retailer called MobileFun has listings for new trackers with that design (via 9to5Google).

I saw this post from Dare Obasanjo highlighting Meta’s on-Threads message about its commitment to the fediverse. You can see the message yourself by going to somebody’s profile and clicking the “threads.net” bubble.
Meta has already taken a small fediverse step, and I’m looking forward to seeing the eventual support for platforms like Mastodon. It can be the new thing we all beg for now that web Threads is live.
