Amazon and Disney have had “early discussions” about ESPN.

The two may work together on the in-development streaming version of the popular sports channel, according to The Information. Amazon may take a minority stake in the network, the report says.

The Information also reports that the new ESPN streaming service could cost between $20 and $35 per month and says that the price could go beyond that “if ESPN is able to add a significant amount of new content” — it’s also been in discussions with other sports leagues.

Check out this cool profile of a Sony factory that makes microphones used by some of the biggest stars in music.

The factory works under a method called “cellular manufacturing” where one person “handles production from raw parts to packaging,” as reported by Bloomberg. The plant is also designed to accommodate workers with disabilities.

Want to try experimental 1Password features?

Check out the company’s new Labs, which is a place where you can test “potential features we want to try but haven’t validated yet,” the company writes in a blog post.

The first experimental feature is default details, which “will give you the ability to claim a preferred identity and a preferred payment card.” Sounds really handy.

Outlook and Google Calendar are going to be a bit more compatible.

As part of a new update rolling out starting Thursday, if someone on Outlook invites a Google Calendar user to an event, that Outlook person will actually show up as the event organizer on Google Calendar.

I imagine this will be a very welcome feature for many people.

Ninja has permission to multistream, Twitch’s CEO says.

Twitch’s terms of service only allow “simulcasting” on “Twitch-like” services with written permission, and CEO Dan Clancy confirmed that Ninja is cleared to do so. “We don’t have any problem with what Ninja is doing right now,” Clancy said.

Ninja often streams across multiple platforms at the same time. He has the leverage to be able to do so — Ninja, one of the biggest streamers out there, will be fine whether he can stream on Twitch or not — but it’s still interesting to see that Twitch is actually giving multistreaming permission to at least one person.

No gold — but maybe gray.

9to5Mac reports that the iPhone 15 Pro won’t come in a gold option. Instead, the publication says you can expect space black, silver, a new gray that “embraces the natural color of titanium,” and a dark blue. There apparently won’t be a red.

Update August 24th, 6:07PM ET: 9to5Mac posted images of what appears to be the new “Titan Gray” color for the iPhone 15 Pro. I think it looks really nice.

9to5Mac expects the iPhone 15 non-Pro to come in black, green, blue, yellow, and pink.

Reddit announced some new ways it will be supporting mods.

It’s adding a “Mod Helper Program,” trophies and flair for users in r/ModSupport, an answer bot to help mods find Help Center articles, and a forthcoming merger of the platform’s Mod Help Center and the main Help Center. Some mods haven’t been particularly happy with Reddit as of late, so efforts like this and its mod roadshows could help Reddit regain some trust.
