Even Zoom’s CEO sounds tired of Zoom calls.

“Quite often, you come up with great ideas, but when we are all on Zoom, it’s really hard,” CEO Eric Yuan said in an August 3rd meeting with employees, as reported by Business Insider.

Zoom is implementing a hybrid work policy for staffers that live in a 50 mile radius of a company office.

“Well, there’s a different person making the decisions.”

Activision CEO Bobby Kotick isn’t a fan of putting things on Game Pass, but if the company gets acquired by Microsoft, it sounds like that won’t be his decision to make, based on a comment from Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer in an interview with IGN (as shared by The Verge’s Tom Warren).

Should the deal close, Kotick said in July that he’ll stick around “for as long or as little as they need me for the integration.”

Elon Musk says news organizations can get a share of X’s advertising revenue, too.

The post seems to be part of Musk’s latest campaign to encourage writers and journalists to post more on the platform. News organizations may not be as interested if X actually goes through with removing headlines from links to news articles, though.

Reddit shared the schedule for its mod roadshows.

They’ll be taking place through the rest of the year. There will also be a virtual Global Mod Summit on December 2nd. Reddit has had a rocky relationship with some mods because of the recent protests, so perhaps these events will help thaw some of that ice.

Reddit had announced a loose schedule for the roadshows in July. At the time, it also invited people to participate in an accessibility feedback group, though moderators of r/Blind said last week they won’t be joining it.

Apple says developers love the Vision Pro.

Yes, the Vision Pro looks impressive, but I encourage you to take this Apple blog post featuring opinions from developers who have attended the company’s Vision Pro labs with a grain of salt.

Still, it’s interesting to see what developers have to say. The headset has the best chance of success if it has great apps, and Apple needs to get third-party developers on board to make them.
