You might see more rate limits on Threads.

That’s because of an increase in “spam attacks,” according to Instagram head Adam Mosseri. I’m guessing these limits won’t affect too many people, though — unlike Twitter’s rate limits.

Noclip released a documentary about Vampire Survivors.

I’m only about halfway through, but it’s a fascinating look at the rise of one of the now-huge indie game. And it’s a good watch ahead of the game’s next major update, which will bring the game to Nintendo Switch and add multiplayer.

If you’re a Vampire Survivors veteran like me and looking to scratch that itch, I highly recommend Halls of Torment, which is basically Vampire Survivors but with some Diablo flair. And best of all, it’s only $4.99!

    Happy World Emoji Day 🎉

Why today, of all days? On many platforms, including Apple’s, the Tear-Off Calendar emoji (📆) shows a date of July 17th — which incidentally happens to be iCal’s birthday.

Did you know you can submit a proposal for an emoji you think is missing from the lineup? If you want to learn more, read my story about making the proposals for the waffle (🧇) and yawning face (🥱).

    Finally, a brown mushroom emoji.

That’s one of the many potential new emoji that could be approved as part of Emoji 15.1 in September. Emojipedia has a great article and some mock images for other draft candidates, including a lime, a broken chain, and two heads shaking in different directions. (If you want to learn more about the emoji-making process, I wrote about my experience proposing the waffle and yawning face emoji.)

World Emoji Day is coming up on Monday, July 17th.

I hope the phoenix makes the cut.
