AWS is putting $100 million into a center to help companies use generative AI.

AWS CEO Adam Selipsky discussed the center in an interview with CNBC. It’s a big step as Amazon looks to compete with Microsoft and Google’s AI efforts.

However, there’s one catch you might want to be aware of: “The company told CNBC that it’s a ‘program’ rather than a physical center.”

Maybe Reddit’s slowing revenue growth is partially responsible for the company trying to lock things down.

According to The Information, Reddit’s revenues were up 38 percent in 2022, but that’s down from the “more than doubling of revenue” it saw from 2020 to 2021.

That said, The Information says Reddit still earned “about $670 million” in revenues last year. I don’t know if getting back the $10 million in “pure infrastructure costs” CEO Steve Huffman told me that it takes to support third-party apps is going to make all that much of a difference.

    It’s no blue bubble, but...

Google is testing a feature that will show a little message bubble next to conversations that are on RCS, according to 9to5Google. I doubt Apple is quaking in its boots over the change, but it’s yet another way Google could push RCS.

Yes, Twitter previews are broken in Slack and iMessage.

It’s really annoying! I emailed Twitter to see if this was just a bug or something they’re deprecating entirely, and I got a poop emoji in reply. Hopefully it’s the former.
