More than 100 million people watched The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Amazon says.

We don’t know exactly what Amazon counts as a view — Netflix changed its own definition of that in 2021 — and this isn’t even a new number. But I wasn’t aware of it until today, and I’ll take it as evidence that the Prime Video series has been a hit for the company.

The show’s second season is currently in production.

Apple Pay Later is launching “soon,” CEO Tim Cook tells CNBC.

The company’s take on a buy now, pay later service was announced alongside iOS 16 at WWDC in June, but it still isn’t here yet and has reportedly faced issues during development.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman said in September that the feature may not arrive until iOS 16.4. Given Cook’s comment on Thursday, it seems like that might be right.

Apple’s movie about Tetris is set to debut at SXSW in March.

Those of us at home will be able to watch it on Apple TV Plus sometime “soon,” Apple said in a tweet. Here’s the company’s official description of the film:

Based on the true story of American video game salesman Henk Rogers (Taron Egerton) and his discovery of Tetris in 1988. When he sets out to bring the game to the world, he enters a dangerous web of lies and corruption behind the Iron Curtain.

I’m hoping we get a trailer with an overly-dramatic version of the Tetris theme song.
