Nokia announces 14,000 job cuts amid 5G downturn.
The Finnish telecommunications giant announced plans on Thursday to lay off around 16 percent of its 86,000 employees following a 20 percent year-on-year decline in the company’s third-quarter net sales. The reason? “Operators have found it challenging to monetize their 5G investments,” said Nokia CEO Pekka Lundmark in an interview.
