A peek at the Pokémon Fitbit.

I was able to get hands on the special edition Pokémon Sleep Fitbit Air, which ships September 15th, at the Pokémon World Championships this weekend. Other Fitbit models can connect to Pokémon Sleep, but this one has a cute Pikachu on it, if that’s worth it to you!

Another Poké-motorcycle.

First it was the Toyota Engineering Society’s Miraidon Project, a life-size version Pokémon Violet’s motorcycle-like mascot. Now it’s time for Pokémon Scarlet’s mascot: Honda has its life-size Koraidon on display at PokémonXP in San Francisco. It looks fantastic, and it blinks. Its mouth even opens!

Playing Pokémon Snap with Lego sets.

I’m in San Francisco for the Pokémon World Championships, and the Pokémon Center store here has a huge Lego display. I wasn’t sure how I felt about these when they were announced, but seeing Lego Squirtle in person made me want the set. Look at that burger!

Building a city brick by brick.

Lego Skylines is a new city builder from Cities: Skylines publisher Paradox Interactive, and it seems like it’s got a good mix of traditional city management and that signature Lego whimsy. This is one we at The Verge will be very excited to check out.

Agent 47… smoke weed every day.

The Doggfather comes to Hitman: World of Assassination. Noted gamer Snoop Dogg is hitting ’em in more ways than one as the next celebrity elusive target in “The Herbalist,” which you can play for free starting August 27th.

PUBG gets a little edgelord with it.

PUBG: Ded.Net is a new multiplayer FPS with roguelite progression… and also a very in-your-face vibe. I love PUBG, but this announcement trailer was a lot to take in. We’ll see if it’s as satisfying to play Ded.Net as it was to get a chicken dinner back in the day.

A look at the cast of Silent Hill: Townfall.

Following last week’s extended gameplay trailer, we got a briefer look at Silent Hill: Townfall, this time highlighting the game’s cast. It includes Jovan Adepo (3 Body Problem, It: Welcome to Derry), Kezia Burrows (Observation), and Terry O’Quinn (Lost).

The Battletoads team is making an art game.

An art-themed game, anyway. Murals is an “isometric action-adventure” with a hand-painted style that really captures its messed-up fairy tale vibe. It’s set to launch in 2027.

Pokémon ecology is more of an art than a science.

The new Pokémon book Pokécology has lots of fun details about various pocket monsters, but as Bulbapedia notes, some of the math might be off. I don’t know enough to check the numbers in the thread myself, but I know enough about Pokémon to say that maybe Spheal is just being a goofy guy.
