Last month, Biden nominated Gomez to break a 2-2 deadlock at the FCC. Gomez replaced Biden’s first pick, Gigi Sohn, after the longtime public interest advocate revoked her nomination in March.
Unlike Sohn, Gomez is a relative unknown. She’s a veteran government lawyer with no public voting history and an unremarkable social media presence.
Come Thursday, we’ll get a better picture of whether Gomez fares better than Sohn.
