A Razzlekhan movie is in the works about the rapper/Bitcoin money launderer.

Last summer, Heather Morgan (a Forbes blogger who also rapped under the name Razzlekhan) and her husband Ilya Lichtenstein pleaded guilty to charges they conspired to launder Bitcoin stolen from Bitfinex in 2016. At the time of their arrest in early 2022, the stolen crypto was worth $4.5 billion.

Netflix previously ordered a documentary series about the couple, and now Deadline reports that Amazon MGM Studios has started development on a Razzlekhan film inspired by this New York Times story.

Apple’s new Vision Pro ad is one you might’ve seen before.

With the Vision Pro set to ship starting on February 2nd, Apple uploaded a TV spot for the headset to its YouTube channel. Tim Cook presented this ad at the end of his WWDC 2023 keynote presentation, and it appears to be mostly the same, all these months later.

In June we dug through it to find out everywhere Apple imagines you’ll use its $3,499 headset, but you can watch it again right here,

Apple’s new default browser prompt for EU market iPhones will have a dozen options.

Among iOS 12.4’s DMA-mandated changes, there’s a prompt to pick a default web browser the first time people in EU markets open Safari after they upgrade.

9to5Mac reports that, according to Apple, options will include the top 12 browsers for that country, presented in random order.1 It also has the lists for each country, so Luxembourg users, for example, should see Aloha, Brave, Chrome, DuckDuckGo, Ecosia, Edge, Firefox, Web@Work, Onion Browser, Opera, Safari, and You.com AI Search Assistant.

At least one app is preparing to enable HDMI input to Apple’s Vision Pro.

Developer Finn Voorhees tested the Castaway: Spatial HDMI Monitor beta by playing Super Mario Bros. Wonder within visionOS using a USB capture card hooked up to an iPad. However, the developers of Halide/Orion have said the APIs necessary to connect their app to Vision Pro aren’t available yet.

Voorhees writes, “Going back and forth with app store review” in hopes of having it in the App Store in time for the Vision Pro launch February 2nd.

NASA’s Mars Helicopter has made its final flight.

The Ingenuity helicopter mission achieved powered flight on another world, brought Zigbee and Linux to Mars, and survived close calls, lasting 33 times longer than originally planned.

But on Thursday, NASA officials said that after a loss of communication and rough landing last week its rotor blades are too damaged to fly again. The Perseverance rover that brought it to Mars is too far away to get a picture, but this picture shows the shadow of a broken blade on the Mars terrain.

Instagram’s ‘Flipside’ feature creates a finsta forclose friends.

This Instagram feature was spotted late last year, but now some people say it’s live on their accounts.

Going a step further than “Close Friends” posts that are only visible to a select few, it enables another version of a person’s profile with a different name, details, and profile picture, with photos, reels, and stories that only approved accounts can see.

The iOS 17.4 beta also includes a small emoji update.

MacRumors points out that today’s beta release of iOS 17.4 with EU-required sideloading also includes several new emoji characters. A head shaking horizontally, a head shaking vertically, a phoenix, a lime, a brown mushroom, and a broken chain were approved by the Unicode Consortium last fall and published as part of Emoji 15.1.

Fubo applies AI-generated “Instant Headlines” to live news channels in its TV guide.

FuboTV users on Android TV or FireTV will see “select” 24 news channels in their guide shown with text in the thumbnails that use an unspecified AI to write a live-updated summary.

Unmoderated AI headlines created on the fly? Fortunately, there aren’t any examples of how that could possibly be a problem. Fubo’s increasingly pricey streaming replacement for cable TV has always had an eye on interactivity, so maybe this will go over better than its gambling features did.

Yes, The Pokémon Company is aware of Palworld.

Palworld, the survival game described by some as “Pokémon with guns” because of its familiar-looking designs, has sold millions of copies in under a week, with more simultaneous players on Steam than any other game outside of peak PUBG.

And now, after one modder already received a takedown notice, we have The Pokémon Company’s first official response:

    Inquiries Regarding Other Companies’ Games

We have received many inquiries regarding another company’s game released in January 2024. We have not granted any permission for the use of Pokémon intellectual property or assets in that game. We intend to investigate and take appropriate measures to address any acts that infringe on intellectual property rights related to the Pokémon. We will continue to cherish and nurture each and every Pokémon and its world, and work to bring the world together through Pokémon in the future.
