Maybe you’ve watched every single one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s 32 films and 21 TV shows.

Or maybe you’ve skipped a few. Either way, there’s an upcoming coffee table book from Disney / Marvel and DK Publishing to catch you up: Marvel Studios The Marvel Cinematic Universe An Official Timeline.

As we move through Phase 5 and onto Phase 6, the book promises “exclusive infographics, illuminating timelines, and amazing movie stills.” It ships October 24th from Amazon in both hardcover ($45) or Kindle editions ($19.99), Barnes & Noble, Bookshop, or Books-A-Million.

Bob Barker, the longtime host of The Price is Right, has died.

CBS News and other media outlets report that Bob Barker has died at the age of 99. Hosting The Price is Right for 35 years was part of a much longer run on national TV, as he also hosted one of the first game shows, Truth or Consequences, for 20 years.

The show had many iconic moments, but one of my favorites is this clip as pre-Breaking Bad Aaron Paul is invited by Barker to come on down. And, last but not least, remember to spay and neuter your pets.

Kia has another electric EV on the way with this EV5.

In non-USB car theft news, Kia / KN has revealed the design of the EV5, a smaller but still boxy sibling of the full-size EV9 it announced earlier this year.

Making its debut at the Chengdu Motor Show in China, the EV5 helps fill in another segment of the automaker’s lineup. Kia said it’s coming to China next year, but a confirmation for any other regions will have to wait until its EV day event in October, when Kia “will expand upon its global vision for electrification.”

Chicago is the latest city to sue over “Kia Boys” car thefts.

Chicago joins Cleveland, Milwaukee, New York City, and Columbus on the list of city governments suing Kia and Hyundai over cars that can be stolen in seconds by teenagers armed with nothing more than a USB cable and the knowledge gleaned from a TikTok video, as we wrote about the Kia Boys thieves in June.

The failure of Kia and Hyundai to install basic auto-theft prevention technology in these models is sheer negligence, and as a result, a citywide and nationwide crime spree around automobile theft has been unfolding right before our eyes.

Since videos posted on social media exposed this defect, thefts of Kia and Hyundai vehicles in Chicago surged from about 500 in the first half of 2022 to more than 8,350 during the second half of the year. Thefts of Kia and Hyundai vehicles continue to comprise more than half of all vehicles stolen in Chicago in 2023.

Teamsters vote ratifies a new five-year deal with UPS and averts a possible strike.

Today UPS workers voted to ratify a five-year agreement negotiators reached with the company last month, which the union says is “raising wages for full- and part-time workers, creating more full-time jobs, and securing important workplace protections, including air conditioning.”

If they hadn’t reached a deal, a labor stoppage could have wreaked havoc, as the company transports an estimated $3.8 billion worth of items every day.

Nothing’s second-generation OS reaches its first phone next week.

A Nothing OS 2.0 update for Phone 1 owners is close to release; however, as XDA Developers notes, there are no details on which features the Android 13-based update will bring to the older device.

We’ve already spent some time with Nothing’s 2.0 software on the Phone 2, which has a 2.02a update of its own rolling out today with camera improvements. But if you’d rather live on the edge, then there’s always the Android 14 beta...

TLO is the latest doxing slang for you to worry about.

404 Media, a new outlet formed by members of Vice’s former tech vertical Motherboard, follows up a previous report on criminals using TransUnion’s TLOxp tool to sell info (SSN, previous address, everything) on virtually any target via Telegram.

Now, as they report, while the fraudsters’ access to TLOxp may have ended, its name has become the “Xerox” of doxing, even as criminals use other similar tools to sell detailed reports on people for $15 - $20,

“Give me your origin story, in a photo, of your computer rooms.”

On the last episode of The Vergecast, Nilay put out a request for photos of your childhood computer rooms and while we’ve already received a bunch of submissions from listeners, we need more.

Modern gamer dens with LED lighting and racing chairs are appreciated but unnecessary here — we’re looking for pictures of a 486-holding hutch from the era of floppy discs and dot-matrix printers. Email us - Vergecast@theverge.com.

Still need an example? This is is what I’m talking about.
