    What’s next for ESPN?

CNBC’s Alex Sherman reported on Disney’s discussions with the NBA and NFL about becoming partners in ESPN as it moves from cable into the streaming future.

On the Front Office Sports podcast (starting at about 4 minutes 55 seconds), he went a little more in-depth, saying he sees the talks as “throwing ideas at the wall” while discussing some of the potential complications we mentioned previously, as well as the idea that Disney, which will apparently need to find a replacement for CEO Bob Iger eventually, might become an acquisition target itself.

Just logging on to defend NFTs for a moment.

This Threads post about the NFT for Jack Dorsey’s first tweet isn’t quite right. There is a $3~ bid, but another one is nearly $2,000, and the owner, Sina Estavi, has claimed he might never sell anyway.

On the other hand... that was after Estavi was imprisoned for a bit under crypto scam allegations, he’s currently shilling a new crypto x AI token scheme, and he said he’d never sell the Dorsey NFT after attempting to do so and drawing a high bid of only $280.

See-through VR headsets should be a thing.

The transparent PS VR2 has been shown, and here’s a special edition clear Quest Pro unit from Meta CTO Andrew Bosworth, posted during the launch of Threads. Since Meta’s shutting down production of these, we don’t expect to see it released, but at least it exists.
