Guess YouTube will probably start showing me ads when I pause videos!

We warned you about pause ads nearly six years ago, and again when YouTube started trialing them last May. Now, Google’s Philipp Schindler says the results of that trial is that advertisers unsurprisingly love them!

They are driving strong results and “commanding premium pricing from advertisers,” he said on today’s earnings call. No news about a wider rollout, but...

Hey, Google stock now pays a dividend too.

Alphabet’s first-ever dividend will pay shareholders 20 cents per share on June 17th, and the Google owner “intends to pay quarterly cash dividends in the future” too. Meta made a big splash when it announced a 50 cent per share dividend in February, and Microsoft increased its dividend to 75 cents per share last September.

Sony’s own car is coming to Gran Turismo 7, for free, at 11PM PT / 2AM ET.

The Sony Afeela prototype is part of GT7’s free update. “Before the real vehicle is released, we would like as many people as possible to ride it in-game. Please enjoy it,” writes Sony Honda Mobility.

You also get a Škoda Vision Gran Turismo concept “created exclusively for the game,” and a ‘70 Chevrolet Chevelle SS454 Sport Coupe.

The Asus ROG Ally is getting AMD’s Fluid Motion Frames tomorrow.

Two months later, Asus says the framerate-boosting tech is nigh! There’s also a firmware update that lets you map triggers to back buttons.

AFMF can’t make its fake frames out of nothing; you’ll need a game that already runs at a decent clip to get best results. Here’s the Asus guide on how to use it.

Speaking of turning your phone into a Nintendo emulator:

The best free Game Boy Advance emulator for Android is back now its developer is less scared. Pizza Boy’s Davide Berra:

After a few weeks of consideration and after discussing with several people (both in the field and not), I’ve realized that I can’t set aside a passion and effort of so many years. Experimentally, I am trying to revisit the apps to make them available again on the Google Play Store with some renewals. Let’s start with Pizza Boy A Basic and hopefully continue with the others.

The pro version let me turn my Samsung Z Flip into a GBA SP.

The best part about Delta Emulator: it’s for your TV, too.

Webster already wrote about this, but I’m seriously wowed at how easy it was to turn an iPhone into a retro console for my TV. Once you add a gamepad, everything but joystick-sensitive games (sorry, GoldenEye fans) feels playable!

Delta dev Riley Testut tells me he’s “definitely open” to adding joystick sensitivity adjustment. For now, it uses Apple’s default calibrations.
