Genshin Impact is getting fish simulation.

Swarm simulations for fish, soft-body simulations for seaweed, global illumination for cities — Genshin Impact was already one of the best-looking free-to-play games, and Version 4.0 is upping the tech tree with the aqua-charged Fontaine biome.

Oh, and they’re “experimenting with motion-controlled aiming” on PlayStation. No more need to stream to Steam Deck to easily hit things with a bow? Full trailer here.

    Mechanical marvel.

We recently re-introduced you to a TV remote for the ages, the Zenith Space Command, which uses tiny hammers and tuning forks instead of electricity! That means no batteries :-)

Here’s a closer look... and we even pulled out our screwdriver to give you a peek inside.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is Steam Deck Verified.

Valve deemed it “playable” at launch, but apparently things have improved in a single day? Yesterday, GamingOnLinux, one of the sources I trust, certainly wouldn’t have agreed that the game’s default config “performs well on Steam Deck.”

Is it working well for you there?

I have unilaterally decided Alex is wrong and just changed “post” to “tweet.”

It hit me that Twitter is dead, so the word “tweet” is fair game now! It wasn’t even Twitter’s word to begin with. So I have reversed her reversal, editing this just-published post of mine four times to just call them tweets. Zuck tweeted. Mosseri tweeted. I will be tweeting again too, just as soon as Zuck and Mosseri let me tweet from the web!

I have now used a Framework Laptop 16 with working GPU fans.

In our big hands-on with the modular gaming laptop, the laptop’s swappable GPU throttled itself due to a broken fan connector. But today, I visited Framework HQ and spent 15 minutes in Cyberpunk 2077 and Halo Infinite on high spec with no throttling at all. And yes, I swapped that GPU in and out of the laptop myself.

Framework says it still needs to add fan curves: they ran full bore during my demo.
