The Zotac Zone is a big boi — bigger than Lenovo’s Legion Go.

Zotac just confirmed the dimensions of its new PC gaming handheld to me — plus a few other specs — and wow is it large. The 7-inch handheld is wider, taller, and almost as thick as the 8-inch Lenovo Legion Go, and notably bigger than Steam Deck.

(Deck is technically thicker than both, but a lot of that’s down to taller joysticks.)

Intel’s one-minute Battlemage GPU demo is good news for Lunar Lake handhelds.

You can find the whole thing in PCWorld’s YouTube video at the 34-minute mark: with 3DMark Wildlife Extreme locked to 60fps, Lunar Lake (and its integrated memory!) is consuming 10 watts less than Meteor Lake.

As The Phawx points out, Meteor Lake kind of sucked at efficiency, so don’t celebrate yet? At least now Intel has a chance.

You can now charge your phone with a cassette tape.

They even come in their own jewel cases! My test results surprised me: I really thought I’d prefer the green one with built-in cables, but the yellow’s my winner. They’re roughly $20-25 on AliExpress.

Nobody’s worthy of Mjolnir (the giant Asus battery).

Lift by its handle... and it’ll just pop off, because that handle’s a flashlight atop a Qi2 charging pad. Still can’t believe Asus is producing another one of its April Fools’ jokes!

It’s a 768Wh LFP battery with four AC outlets (1200W) and 2 100W USB-C PD ports. No price, but mid-range power stations like this (sans flashlight) are commoditized around $599.

Sega sadly won’t release a mini Saturn or Dreamcast this year.

Sega made amazing tiny consoles every year from 2019-2022, including the Genesis Mini, Game Gear Micro, Astro City Mini, Mega Drive Mini 2 and its flight stick — but not in 2023, and producer Yosuke Okunari now says we won’t get one in 2024 either.

Last year, Sega’s president said a mini Saturn would take “a little longer” at minimum.
