New Nike material automatically opens vents when runners sweat.

Running jackets that protect against cold and wind are notorious for trapping moisture on the inside. Nike research invented Aerogami to maybe fix that:

Tiny winged vents open as sweat builds against the skin, allowing better airflow and for sweat to escape. When the body cools down and sweat dries, the vents close back up.

It’ll debut in July on the Aerogami Jacket.

Everyone wants a piece of the Tesla Powerwall.

Energy prices are high, the grid is increasingly unstable, and solar panels and giant batteries are more affordable than ever. No wonder Tesla Powerwall sales are accelerating, according to Electrek. But competition is getting fierce, with newcomers like Anker and EcoFlow joining the mix just this week.

In a (now-deleted, as of 12:20PM ET) post, the Tesla Powerwall Twitter account said it had “Just surpassed 500k Powerwall installs globally!” and promised a $500 rebate per unit. The tweet has not been reposted so far.

Google Street View images in Germany are getting first update in over a decade.

Privacy advocates balked at the initial rollout in 2011, causing Google to halt image collection, which will now be refreshed for the first time starting June 22nd. The German government is involved this time to ensure sufficient use of the blur brush.

Twitter’s ad sales stink of Musk.

I think almost all advertisers have come back or said they are going to come back.

The New York Times based on a Twitter slide deck it obtained:

Twitter’s US advertising revenue for the five weeks from April 1 to the first week of May was $88 million, down 59 percent from a year earlier.

    May doesn’t look much better.
