Valve is currently testing a Steam beta client update for desktop users and it includes a refreshed UI in many parts. Valve has updated dialogs, menus, fonts, and colors — tap here for a bigger image. The main Steam window and the settings interface look way better now. It should come to the stable release of Steam real soon.

Microsoft gears up for a private version of ChatGPT.
Microsoft is reportedly planning to offer a private version of ChatGPT to Azure customers. The Information reports that this private alternative would run on dedicated servers to keep data fully separate and give Azure customers peace of mind. The big drawback is that it’s said to cost 10 times what businesses are currently paying for ChatGPT through Azure OpenAI.

The Last of Us Part I just got a big PC patch.
Naughty Dog continues to fix up The Last of Us Part I on PC. This time it’s a 25GB patch that includes lots of crash fixes, optimizations for CPU and GPU use, some Steam Deck improvements, and plenty of bug fixes. The initial release of the game was disappointing, but Naughty Dog has been issuing regular patches to correct the issues.
