Angry Birds VR gets a mixed reality mode on the Quest.

I’m not sure who needs to hear this, but Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs now uses video passthrough on Meta Quest headsets (and the Pico) to project your target for destruction onto a real-life table or whatever.

If you don’t have a VR headset with passthrough though, there’s been standalone version of the game on smartphones for years.

Google Chat now lets you subject coworkers to your celebrity impressions.

Google is rolling out voice messages for enterprise Workspace users. To send one, tap the microphone button to record yourself. Others can react to your message, quote it, or reply to it.

Only the Android / iOS Google Chat apps support voice recordings right now, but web users can receive them, and will get recording later.

Amazon Pharmacy expands its same-day deliveries.

Patients in New York City and greater Los Angeles can now get same-day medications through Amazon’s digital pharmacy, joining cities like Austin, Miami, and Seattle. The company also offers one-hour drone delivery in College Station, Texas.

Amazon says this will grow same-day deliveries to over a dozen cities in the US by the end of the year. Pharmacy chains like Walgreens already offer same-day deliveries for a variable fee depending on location.

The Google Pixel 6A is missing.

It stuck around as the company’s budgetiest budget phone since the 7A was released last year. But as DroidLife points out, there’s now a Pixel 6A-sized hole in Google’s online store.

If it’s truly gone, it could be making room for the rumored Pixel 8A with more storage and a 120Hz display, which could show up at Google I/O on May 14th — If Google doesn’t spoil its own announcement before then.

Capcom plans updates for Dragon’s Dogma 2 that will let you start a new game.

At launch, there was no easy way to delete a save or start a new game once a save file existed — something PC modders quickly added. Today, Capcom shared that it will make starting a new game a native feature of Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Besides, that, the developer is targeting some quality-of-life and technical fixes.

iOS 18 may give users a lot more home screen freedom.

This morning, Mark Gurman wrote for Power On subscribers that the iOS 18 home screen would be “more customizable,” but didn’t say how.

Now, MacRumors’ sources say this means Apple is loosening up its restrictive app icon arrangement in a way that sounds closer to the way things work on Android — that is, with blank spaces allowed between apps.

D2, but not The Mighty Ducks.

I spent a little bit today fiddling with this playground for open-source diagram scripting language D2 (not to be confused with the system programming language D, Dreamcast survival horror game D2, or data visualization library D3).

It’s not a programming game like, say, Swift Playgrounds, but it offers some of the same easy satisfaction of entering text and seeing an immediate result.
