The Amazon-owned upscale grocer is launching Whole Foods Market Daily Shop stores.
The Seattle Times reports that, like at the larger stores, customers can pay using a palm print and associate it with their payment method through Amazon One, the biometric payments system Amazon debuted in 2020 that can be used to buy things or even verify you’re old enough to buy beer.

National Guard member Jack Teixeira, who was arrested last year after leaking classified US government documents in a small Discord server, has entered into a plea agreement with the Massachusetts District Attorney.
Teixeira would plead guilty in exchange for no charges under the Espionage Act. In exchange, he agrees to face between 132 months (11 years) and 200 months (16 years and 8 months) in prison, along with fines and 3 years of supervised release.
Deadline reports that film and TV labor unions are ready to strike if talks break down with Hollywood studios tomorrow. Studios previously narrowly averted a strike with one of the unions, the Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE), in 2021.
Now, the IATSE is preparing to bargain for health and pension benefits with two other unions for “the first time since 1988,” according to the Teamsters.
