The push to ban TikTok was revived this week as House congressional lawmakers introduced a bill to make it illegal to distribute ByteDance apps. TikTok has been prompting users to protest the ban, which House Republicans will vote on despite Trump’s objections.
Comcast says it’s doubled the throughput for Connect plans, from 75Mbps to 150Mbps, while its prepaid plans go from 50Mbps to 200Mbps. Connect More and Fast will each get a 100Mbps boost, as well, bringing those up to 300Mbps and 500Mbps, respectively.
The company says it’s not raising prices for these increases.

It wasn’t just Meta’s social networks that went down yesterday — internet-connected Quest headsets, which should be able to work offline, showed an error message that prevented their main interface from loading, making them useless, as UploadVR detailed today.

Nissan announced today that its EV hatchback once again qualifies for a federal EV tax credit, though only up to $3,750 and not the full $7,500 that precious few vehicles actually qualify for.

In addition to discounts for eligible Uber Pro drivers, Revel will use anonymized Uber data to decide on future EV charging station locations to address “charging deserts,” according to a press release shared with The Verge by Uber spokesperson Conor Ferguson.
