Perplexity AI, a company that uses generative AI for search, will co-announce something it’s working on with Rabbit, the company behind the fast-selling Rabbit R1 AI not-a-phone gadget, tomorrow at 2PM PT / 5PM ET.
The New York Department of Financial Services’ (DFS) proposal would ask insurers to examine their AI systems to ensure they won’t learn to mimic discrimination against vulnerable communities that exists in the industry. The DFS is accepting comments on the guidance until March 17th, 2024.
The DFS says the announcement builds on the AI policy put forward by state Governor Hochul last week.

The lawsuit from movie financier TSG Entertainment alleged that Disney used tricky accounting to withhold millions of dollars from it. For instance, TSG believes it was underpaid by “at least $40 million” for The Shape of Water, making it harder to invest in other films, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The reported settlement’s terms were undisclosed, the Reporter writes.
