9to5Mac spotted that Apple updated the Mac and iPad versions of Logic Pro today. Updates include an automatic mastering tool called Mastering Assistant and 32-bit float recording.
Apple also ported over the iPad’s Sample Alchemy and Beat Breaker features to the Mac version, while the subscription iPad version gets drag-and-drop support from other apps.
Look for Logic Pro 1.1 (iPadOS) and Logic Pro 10.8 (macOS)
Reuters reported last week that Hakan Ayik, aka the ‘Encryption King,” aka the “Facebook gangster,” had been arrested in Turkey. From 404 Media’s report on his capture:

Starting with VPN apps, certain categories on the Google Play store will now show a banner to help users find trustworthy apps.
Google says in a blog post that the banners will tell users about the “Independent security review” badge the company introduced last year, signifying apps that have undergone independent audits to verify they comply with the OWASP global security standard.
FirstShowing spotted that Oppenheimer got one last run at IMAX theaters, including some 70mm screens, that started on Friday. The final showings happen on November 9th.

The New York Times reported today that Tesla will meet with striking Swedish union IF Metall on Monday to negotiate an end to the strike, which has been ongoing since October 27th.
Last week, the Times says, dockworkers said they would stop unloading Teslas in solidarity. According to OnLabor, IF Metall widened the strike notice to all Swedish shops that repair Teslas — not just those owned by the company — after TM Sweden said Tesla’s policy forbids union agreements “in any country.”
