It’s in writing now: Ubisoft won’t delete your inactive account if you bought PC games with it.

Ubisoft updated a support page last week to say that accounts with PC games purchased from the Ubisoft store “are not eligible for deletion.”

Last week’s news cycle highlighting a harsh-seeming Ubisoft policy to delete inactive accounts got people understandably upset. But the company claims the bar for actual deletion is actually very high.

I’m not gonna lie; I felt the same way about big phones.

Okay this Galaxy Unpacked video was fun.

It captured well the frustration of phone cords. the excitement of the first cell phones (“I’m calling you from the back of a taxi!”). And the late night talk show-style gag about phablets being too big was spot on and a funny moment to look back on.

It almost swerved into being a little too smug, but I think pulled off staying on this side of the line.

A Clippy Reddit alien: the adorable Thing That Should Not Be.

Apollo app developer Christian Selig dropped new wallpaper art of a cute hybrid of Clippy and the Reddit alien today.

Selig has been hawking fun wallpapers for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS via the Apollo app since Reddit started down a dark path of hostile changes earlier this year and Selig shuttered the popular third-party Reddit client. He’s also selling the wallpapers outside the app.

A screenshot of Christian Selig’s Mastodon post announcing he’d added the Apollopy wallpaper. It shows the wallpaper, which is artwork of Clippy but with the Reddit alien’s red eyes and antenna, and the paperclip body filled with a blue to dark, bluish purple gradient.
