    Remembering Thud.

Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones claimed during a live X session that Elon Musk will be “very involved” in helping thwart The Onion’s purchase of Infowars, according to Mother Jones.

Whether or not that’s true, it’s an excuse to remember that Musk once wanted to buy The Onion, didn’t, then funded Thud, a satirical media company, with Onion alums. (He backed out, reportedly because he worried about being targeted by the satire.)

    “Oregon -14 Wisconsin Texas.”

I’m glad Apple Intelligence summaries exist. Because this is a beautiful mess.

And life-changing, just like Tim Cook said.

Get ready to take your iPhone to Raccoon City.

The Resident Evil 2 remake’s Apple App Store release is officially December 10th, Capcom announced. (Before, it was December 31st.)

Like RE4 and Village, RE2 is free to start, but you’ll need to pay to play the whole game. Handily, you only need to buy it on one device (iPhone 15 Pro and up, or M1-and-up iPad / Mac) to play it on your others.

    You know, just surviving.

Don Lemon says he’s leaving X.

Lemon cited, among other things, the site’s new terms of service that require disputes to be brought in Texas courts, where a Tesla stock-owning judge recently recused himself from an advertiser lawsuit against X.

Lemon, who recently sued Elon Musk and X for canceling his talk show, pointed to his other accounts, like on the fast-growing Bluesky, where he posted for the first time today.

The latest Apple betas let you copy links to highlighted text in Safari.

It’s driven me bonkers ever since Google introduced linking to highlighted text in Chrome that I couldn’t do the same in the Safari browser. Now it seems that’s changing.

I spotted it in the most recent macOS 15.2 beta, where it appears when you right-click highlighted text. MacStories’ Federico Viticci noticed it in the iOS 18.2 beta, where you get it by long-pressing.
