Alienware Area-51 officially gets AMD Ryzen 9850X3D.

Alienware’s flagship desktop finally ditched proprietary parts last year (no more Dell-specific motherboards) and welcomed AMD’s flagship Ryzen X3D desktop chips in November. Now it’s getting the latest AMD chip too — just know the new 9850X3D is only a tad faster than the 9800X3D (AMD says roughly 7 percent uplift).

Peacock will be the first streamer to integrate everything Dolby has to offer.

Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos availability will be extended across Peacock’s live sports throughout 2026, and the streamer has committed to supporting Dolby Vision 2 and the Dolby AC-4 audio codec when they launch later in the year.

While there currently aren’t any Dolby Vision 2-capable TVs, we’re expecting to see some release in 2026.

The taint bandaid has evolved into the taint zapper

It took six years, FDA clearance, and some rabbits, but this CES health wearable didn’t end up as vaporware.

Eve’s first smart thermostat for the US supports Matter-over-Thread.

In addition, the Eve Thermostat works without an internet connection and doesn’t require any sort of additional subscription — something that is depressingly rare these days. Otherwise, it offers all the usual stuff you’d expect, including app and voice control, automations, and scheduling, for $129.95.

Behold, the taint bandaid in all its glory.

This is Mor, a wearable for men suffering from premature ejaculation. It zaps the perineum — or the taint — to help you delay orgasm or intensify it. I’ve been covering this device for six years, so enjoy this video, and stay tuned for my full hands-on. (Update: The hands-on is now available right here.)

XPS is back, but Dell Pros are still here to stay.

Dell reversed course on its confusing naming scheme from 2025, but some of it’s intact — with new tweaks. The returning XPS laptops are still joined by entry-level vanilla “Dell” models. Enterprise-focused Dell Pro laptops are now topped by Dell Pro Precision models instead of the Apple-y sounding Pro Max.
