Marco Rubio has an AI imposter.
Someone impersonating the Secretary of State sent AI text and voice messages to foreign ministers, a US governor, and a Congress member, according to a report from The Washington Post. The person contacted the officials on the encrypted messaging app Signal and over text.
A memo seen by WaPo said the imposter “likely aimed to manipulate targeted individuals... with the goal of gaining access to information or accounts.”
