While Oppo is one of the world’s largest tech companies, it’s better known for its subbrand OnePlus in the West. OnePlus started out producing just one or two flagship smartphones a year but has since launched a midrange lineup called Nord and has entered other product categories like headphones and tablets. Though the hype around the brand isn’t what it once was, OnePlus is notable for being one of the few Android manufacturers to still release handsets in the US.
A regulatory filing spotted by Mukul Sharma on Twitter suggests that the rumored OnePlus foldables could be called the “V Flip” and the “V Fold.” As 9to5Google points out, that branding sure seems familiar...
Alongside its new OnePlus 11 flagship and Buds Pro 2 earbuds, it’s increasingly looking as though the Oppo subsidiary will be announcing an Android tablet at its event on February 7th.
That’s because a new promotional image for the event on OnePlus’ website shows the phone and earbuds sitting on top of what appears to be a big ol’ tablet. The name of the image? “Pad1.jpg”
I’m barely getting over my New Year’s hangover, and already there’s a new flagship OnePlus smartphone about to launch. The Oppo subsidiary plans to officially announce the phone in its home market tomorrow, ahead of its global launch next month. The Chinese tech giant has teamed up with acclaimed mechanical keyboard manufacturer Keychron — a brand you may be familiar with if you’ve checked out our best keyboards buying guide — to release a keyboard for OnePlus’s 9th anniversary.
OnePlus hasn’t provided any details or images of the project, but said in a press release that the keyboard will be officially announced “early next year.”
OnePlus’ N300 comes with 33W wired charging and a very budget-friendly price tag, but it’s not enough to make up for a less-than-enjoyable experience.
