Star Wars

When this “Nighttime at Jabba’s Palace” lo-fi soundtrack was shared in Slack, I made fun of it. But I’ve been listening to it for the past 30 minutes — it’s actually pretty good?

Star Wars: Visions’ second season is a breathtaking reminder of how freeing living outside of the canon can be.
If you’re already done with that other Star Wars game, the galaxy far, far away has once again descended on Fortnite. That includes gameplay features like the return of lightsabers and Force abilities, as well as the prerequisite new characters to buy like Anakin, Padme, and Darth Maul. You can get all the details right here.
During an Andor-focused FYC Emmy event over the weekend, series creator Tony Gilroy announced that all of the show’s scripts will soon be posted online alongside concept art.

Another Star Wars character is joining the ranks of Fortnite’s battle royale. This time it’s Anakin Skywalker, who will be available in-game on May 2nd. Just watch out for players who have the high ground.

The sequel doesn’t do a lot new, and it’s still a mashup of other action-adventure games — but that’s easy to forget when you’re tossing stormtroopers around with your Force powers.

Rather than dotting every single i and crossing all of its t’s The Mandalorian spent its extremely adequate third season trying to forge new lore for lore’s sake.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be here very soon — the sequel to Fallen Order drops on April 28th — and at Star Wars Celebration we got one final trailer showing Cal and his new beard fighting through some impressive-looking action set-pieces.
Danish actor Lars Mikkelsen will reprise the role of Grand Admiral Thrawn, a character he voiced in Star Wars Rebels and one of the most beloved villains in the larger Star Wars canon. Lucasfilm announced the casting news during an Ahsoka panel at Star Wars Celebration, all but confirming the bright blue Chiss officer will be the next big bad in live-action Star Wars.

In addition to learning when Ahsoka will premiere on Disney Plus, we also got a brief teaser trailer for the latest Star Wars spinoff. It doesn’t show much — but there are lots of lightsabers.
We already knew The Daniels were set to direct an episode of Disney Plus’ Star Wars: Skeleton Crew series, but at this year’s Star Wars: Celebration (Europe) event, the rest of the directing lineup was revealed to include Jon Watts, David Lowery, Jake Schreier, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Lee Isaac Chung.

We still don’t know when season 2 of Andor will start streaming on Disney Plus, but at Star Wars Celebration we at least learned that production on the show is underway. Now the wait for more B2-EMO begins.
