The main series feels like it just ended, but Netflix is headed back to Hawkins pretty soon. Here’s the latest trailer for Stranger Things: Tales From ‘85, which starts streaming on April 23rd.
Stranger Things
Inspired by classic horror and science fiction films from the 1980s, the Netflix show Stranger Things follows a group of kids in the town of Hawkins, Indiana, after one of their friends mysteriously vanishes. Follow along for all of the news, trailers, and commentary as we return to The Upside Down.
Now that Stranger Things is over — the main series, anyways — you can finally own the whole thing on disc. Arrow Video is releasing a box set of the complete series on Blu-Ray and 4K UHD, which will be available in July. I hope the collection spans exactly 11 discs.

The secret to Netflix’s biggest hit wasn’t its love of the past, but how it spoke to the present.
If you believe internet rumors claiming the Stranger Things finale had “two hours” cut from its two-hour runtime, and have ignored actors and others saying that the claim is fake, the show’s creators have responded.
Asked about it by Variety, Matt Duffer said, “Obviously, that’s not a real thing,” while Ross Duffer added, “I don’t think there’s a single cut scene in the entire season.”
The main Stranger Things series is coming to an end when the final episode is released tomorrow, on New Year’s Eve at 8PM ET.
Netflix released this new trailer for the finale, which is also going to be shown in theaters, where people can watch together regardless of their familiarity with “shipping” and/or fandom designation.
Stranger Things is back for (the first part of) its final season, but given the lengthy period between episodes, there’s a good chance you have some catching up to do. To that end, Netflix released this very handy recap covering season 4, which wrapped up way back in 2022.

Stranger Things, a show that ostensibly is riff on the “kids on bikes” adventures from the 1980s, recently held a promotional event where fans rode bikes along a car-free street to celebrate the final season. But no “kids on bikes” event would be complete without Coach Balto, the founder of Bike Bus World, who also helped inspire my own bike bus journey. I’m excited to see him continuing the spread the word about street safety and childhood independence in the Upside Down.
The fifth and final season of Stranger Things kicks off next month, and in the meantime Netflix has a very dramatic new trailer to get you in an Upside Down mood.
Netflix is finally going to be releasing a trailer for the fifth and final — and very drawn-out — season of Stranger Things tomorrow. It’s unclear what to expect, but it appears that bikes will be involved. Here’s the new poster:
It’s not the trailer fans were probably hoping for, but Netflix did at least release (another) behind the scenes clip for the upcoming fifth and final season of Stranger Things. The long wait continues.
While we wait for the final season of Stranger Things and its animated spinoff, Netflix is teasing fans with a trailer for The First Shadow, a play in London that also serves as a prequel. But hey, maybe the trailer is a sign that a home version of the production will eventually be available to stream.
The fifth (and final) chapter of the Stranger Things saga is officially underway. Netflix confirmed that season 5 of the retro sci-fi series is in production starting today, though that’s about all we know about it right now (aside from the casting of Linda Hamilton). In the meantime, you can stare at this cast photo in hopes of sussing out some clues.
We still don’t know when the next season of Stranger Things is coming, but Netflix has at least released some details on the upcoming prequel, The First Shadow. It’s set in 1959 and is billed as an origin story for a number of important Stranger Things elements including Vecna and the Upside Down itself — the twist is that it’s a stage show that opens up in London in December. You can get a taste for it in the teaser below.
We still don’t know much about season 5 of Stranger Things, but Netflix did confirm a new cast member: Terminator star Linda Hamilton. Hopefully there aren’t any robots, too.
