SXSW

Every year, some of the biggest names in tech, media, film, television, and music descend on downtown Austin for SXSW to talk about the future, what it might look like, and how soon we may find ourselves there. _The Verge_ will be back in Austin this year alongside Vox Media with its own slate of programming and events. We’ll also have reporters on the ground covering the interviews, panels, and meetups that make SXSW such a fascinating snapshot of what’s around the corner.

There’s a lot to cover this year, from the problems plaguing the world’s most influential and widely used internet platforms to prognostications about next-generation technologies like artificial intelligence, self-driving cars, and the blockchain. Additionally, SXSW is a premier destination for film screenings and chats with actors, directors, and all manner of online and offline creators. We’ll be doing our best to cover it all, so stay tuned for more coverage from the festival here.
