After being announced at CES 2026, TCL has confirmed its NXTPaper 70 Pro, featuring the company’s matte finish screen tech that’s meant to compete with E Ink, is now available through T-Mobile and Metro by T‑Mobile for $199.99 with a phone plan. The 70 Pro is also listed as “Coming Soon” on TCL’s US site for $299.99.
As 404 Media reports, the FBI managed to extract Signal messages from a defendant’s iPhone by accessing the phone’s notification database, where incoming messages were viewable even after the app was deleted. As OMG Ubuntu points out, the new minimum is in place beginning with version 26.04, scheduled for release on April 23rd. You’ll still be able to install Ubuntu on systems with less RAM, if you can stomach it, but a lighter Linux distro might be a better pick, like Linux Mint or Lubuntu.
This feature, which came to Google Meet on the web in January, translates speech into your preferred language in real-time. Now it’s coming to subscribers on mobile with select Google AI and Workspace subscriptions, with support for translations between English and Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, and Italian.

Yuga Labs, the creator of the now-depreciated line of NFTs, settled its lawsuit against artists Ryder Ripps and Jeremy Cahen, who were accused of launching a copycat RR/BAYC NFT collection, as reported by CoinDesk.

It may never be available outside of China, but Oppo shared a teaser on Weibo of its executive Qiao Jiadong using a new unannounced Android tablet called the Pad Mini that looks comparable in size to Apple’s iPad Mini. Microsoft is in the middle of fixing Windows 11 and it wants to hear more from the people that regularly test its OS updates. Microsoft is bringing back Windows Insider meetups, starting with an event in New York City on April 21st. Members of the Windows Insider team will also be visiting Hyderabad, Taipei, San Francisco, and London in the coming weeks.

Microsoft is working on UI improvements to the Xbox dashboard that will also include a new look and feel for Xbox achievements. Xbox Insiders can now test the new achievements, which have updated icons and animations when you unlock a classic or rare achievement. The notifications will also match your custom color. After launching across the US and India, Google is bringing its revamped Finance app to more than 100 countries, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Indonesia, Japan, and Mexico. The latest beta update for WhatsApp on Android and iOS includes the “phased rollout” of usernames, which have been in the works for years and allow users to keep their phone number private.
WhatsApp is currently testing usernames with a very limited number of users. To check if you are part of this initial rollout, you need to open your profile settings. Here, users who have access will notice a dedicated option for usernames. If the option is available, users can tap on it to begin creating their username.
