Sony also announced that Eve will team up with another scantily clad android when the Stellar Blade x Nier Automata DLC launches sometime later this year.

Trailers have become a significant part of anticipation culture. These days, eager fans analyze every frame of any advance look at shows like Game of Thrones or movies like Avengers: Endgame. The Verge can help you find the latest trailers as they’re released — not just the biggest and most analysis-worthy sneak peaks, but teasers for promising indie films and streaming shows as well. Follow along for first-look sneak peaks at everything from Netflix’s latest releases to the newest Marvel Cinematic Universe film.
Astro Bot kicked off today’s State of Play presentation with a sneak peek at the game’s forthcoming DLC. We got a glance at snippets of the five new speedrun levels and the 10 new bots Astro will have to rescue including some Helldivers and Eve from Stellar Blade. Curiously, Team Asobi did not provide a release date for the DLC, sticking with the nebulous “Fall 2024” window.
The new trailer for Alfonso Cuarón’s upcoming series Disclaimer reveals a bit more of the secrets Catherine Ravenscroft (Cate Blanchett) desperately wants to keep hidden.
It seems like there’s a bit of infidelity in her past, which isn’t all that monstrous, but the idea being exposed is enough to send Catherine into a book-burning frenzy.

Bleecker Street’s black comedy Rumours from co-writers / co-directors Guy Maddin, Evan Johnson, and Galen Johnson was a surprise delight at this year’s TIFF, and it’s finally making its way to theaters on October 18th.
Beneath all the beauty and splendor in Gladiator II’s new trailer, there’s a potent fury that makes the movie seem like it’s going to be a gruesome watch.

As if the Yakuza series couldn’t get any wackier, the latest spinoff has Goro Majima washing up on shore in Hawaii, losing his memory, and... becoming a pirate? Whatever is going on, I want to play it when the game launches in February. In the meantime, there’s the much more serious-looking live-action show coming to Amazon next month.
If Seong Gi-hun / Player 456 (Lee Jung-jae) had just walked away with his winnings, his life might be peaceful, but in this teaser from Squid Game’s upcoming second season, there’s an entire army of Masked Men that seem hellbent on killing him.
We have no idea what it is or what it will look like, but the streamer has confirmed that it’s working with CD Projekt Red on some kind of follow up to the excellent anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. “More info coming soon,” Netflix says.

As promised, the first entry in the gorgeous puzzle game series is available for subscribers today on both iOS and Android. And there’s more coming: Monument Valley 2 hits the service on October 29th, while the recently announced third game will be a Netflix exclusive when it launches on December 10th.
We’re still two months out from Heretic’s theatrical premiere, but A24 is hyping things up following the film’s debut at TIFF earlier this month. I personally loved it — mainly due to how terrifying Hugh Grant is.
Woman of the Hour — Anna Kendrick’s directorial debut inspired by serial killer Rodney Alcala’s 1978 appearance on The Dating Game — was one of the most intriguing films to premiere at TIFF in 2023. And it’s finally making its way to Netflix on October 18th.
We’re only a few weeks away from the launch of Shattered Space, the first story expansion for the sci-fi RPG, which Bethesda describes as a “completely handcrafted world.” You can get a better sense of what to expect in this lengthy video.

The Remarkable Life of Ibelin was one of my favorite movies at Sundance this year. It’s a doc that tells the story of a tragically short life, and the film largely takes place inside World of Warcraft. You can watch it for yourself on Netflix on October 25th.
Venom: The Last Dance will see Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock and his symbiote life partner defend the world from a full-on alien invasion. But the might not stand a chance against Knull, who makes a very surprising appearance in the movie’s final trailer.

With its second (and final) season set to be released sometime this November, the new trailer dives deeper into the escalating conflict between the cities of Piltover and Zaun, and the sisters Vi and Jinx fighting on either side.
It also introduces Ashnikko’s new single “Paint The Town Blue,” which will feature on the show’s soundtrack.

Ridley Scott’s Napoleon was already huge (runtime-wise) when it hit Apple TV Plus back in March, but with “48 minutes of new, never-before-seen footage,” the new Director’s Cut that has just hit the streamer (right on time for Labor Day weekend) is even bigger.
That sound you heard was Goro Majima from Yakuza Kiwami, the final game on display during today’s Nintendo Partner Showcase. Yakuza Kiwami is a remake of the first Yakuza game and it’s finally making its Nintendo Switch debut October 24th. Hopefully, the game does well enough that we will get the rest of the stellar series ported over to the Switch.
Civilization 7 will be everywhere, including the Nintendo Switch. During today’s Indie World / Partner Showcase, Firaxis showed off what Civ 7 will look like on the Nintendo Switch. Expect the same gameplay that will let you mix and match your civs and leaders and change civs as you go through history, but maybe temper your expectations on graphics. Civilization 7 launches on console, PC, and Mac February 11th.
Hot on the heels of Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection, Capcom’s gone back in their impressive-ass vault to pull out another collection of classic fighting games. Capcom Fighting Collection 2 bundles together eight games including Capcom vs. SNK, its sequel, both Power Stone games, and more. No release date yet, but expect the game to come out sometime 2025.
Megalopolis’ latest trailer makes it even harder to get a good read of what to expect from the film, but it’s worth it just for Lionsgate’s selection of quotes about Francis Ford Coppola’s previous work.
Update: Lionsgate has removed the trailer, saying it “screwed up,” after people called out the quotes for being made up or misattributed.
