What’s in the gorge, stays in the gorge.

A new Apple TV Plus movie called The Gorge sees Miles Teller (Top Gun: Maverick) and Anya Taylor-Joy (Furiosa) standing guard on opposite sides of a mysterious gorge.

They’re only supposed to prevent whatever’s in the gorge from escaping, and they’re not to have any contact with one another — a rule they break, of course. The Gorge debuts on February 24th.

The Doctor is bringing Joy to the world(s) this Christmas.

Most everyone’s feeling festive in the new trailer for Doctor Who’s latest Christmas special, but the Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) himself seems to be dealing with an existential crisis.

Neither he nor his new buddy Joy (Nicola Coughlan) seem to know why there are two of him at the same place and time. But they’ll probably have a blast figuring it out when the epidode debuts on December 25th.

I came here to plunder temples and punch fascists.

And in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Indy’s got plenty of both. To mark the game’s imminent release, Bethesda has shared its official launch trailer. From the trailer, expect lots of whip cracking, Nazi punching, one of Tony Todd’s last performances, and painting a bunch of red lines all over a world map. Great Circle releases on Xbox, PC, and PlayStation December 9th.

We have Horizon Zero Dawn at home.

Polaris Quest has announced Light of Motiram, which is described as a game set in “a world overrun by colossal machines” on its Steam page. It also looks remarkably like Sony’s own open-world blockbuster series full of mechanical creatures.

“Put me back in the game.”

I’m still not really sure why Player 456 is heading back for season 2 of Squid Game, but the new trailer at least gives a good sense of what he’s in for. The show premieres in one month, hitting Netflix on December 26th.

Remember Elio from Pixar’s upcoming film Elio?

Feels like it’s been ages since we heard anything about Pixar’s Elio from co-directors Domee Shi, Madeline Sharafian, and Adrian Molina. But the studio has just dropped another trailer teasing how an alien bathroom is one of the most beautiful things young Elio (Yonas Kibreab) will see on his space adventure when the film hits theaters on June 13th.

Hot xenomorph summer.

The new teaser for the FX spinoff series Alien: Earth doesn’t show a whole lot, but does confirm that the show will premiere in the summer of 2025. Oh, and in 2120 the xenomorphs are still very shiny.

The Studio display.

Apple has revealed the first look at its upcoming comedy The Studio, which stars Seth Rogen as a budding film studio head. While the show looks full of delightful disasters, perhaps more impressive is the cast which includes the likes of Catherine O’Hara, Kathryn Hahn, and Bryan Cranston. It starts streaming on March 26th.

The spiritual successor to Patapon is murdering me with its cuteness.

Ratatan doesn’t just look and sound like Patapon, it even has Hiroyuki Kotani, the designer of the PSP original, working on it.

Oh, and it’s a four-player co-op roguelike? Okay, that’s it — I’m dead. Someone please res me when this launches in 2025.
