Once users have configured the new Vizio SmartCast Alexa skill, they’ll be able to turn the TV on and off using voice commands, as well as control things like volume, channel, and input. And, depending on the app, users will also be able to use Alexa commands for controlling fast-forward, rewind, and pause.
Alexa support is rolling out for Vizio’s 2017 and 2016 SmartCast P-Series, M-Series, and E-Series 4K models, with support set to come to the company’s 2018 Vizio SmartCast full HD and HD screens in the coming weeks.
