Steam is raking in a lot of money from first-time buyers.

According to Valve’s 2022 year-in-review blog post, the PC storefront saw an average of “83,000 new first-time purchasers every day of the year.” That’s a lot of new people spending money on Steam, in addition to the people like me who already buy many games on sale that forever sit in the backlog. I promise I’m going to play Alan Wake someday!
