Layoffs hit Discord.
The popular communications platform laid off 4 percent (around 40 employees) of its staff on Thursday alongside a reorganization. The cuts primarily focused on Discord’s marketing team, though some employees in the graphic design and entertainment partnership divisions were also impacted.
A Discord spokesperson told Insider that the company was “focused on the long-term growth of the business.”
