Apple must pay €13 billion ($14.4 billion) in unpaid taxes.
The European Court of Justice has overruled an earlier decision that struck down a 2016 ruling that Apple had evaded virtually all taxes on its European business via illegal deals struck with the Irish government.
The ruling is final and cannot be appealed. Apple said in a statement that it was “disappointed” by the decision.
