Twitter bought a job recruiting site.
It’s the company’s first known purchase under Elon Musk, who is said to have spent “tens of millions” worth of cash and stock on the deal.
The service, Laskie, was founded by Chris Bakke, who previously sold another recruiting startup to Indeed. There’s no word on what Twitter plans to do with Laskie (though seven employees have reportedly come on board), but there’s plenty of speculation around Musk’s desire to make Twitter into an “everything app.”

Elon Musk has been subpoenaed by the US Virgin Islands because Epstein “may have referred or attempted to refer” him to JP Morgan. Though a subpoena was issued in April, lawyers have been unable to serve Musk with physical papers — and are seeking permission to serve him via email. They seek documents. Other billionaires, including Sergey Brin, have also been subpoenaed.

Linda Yaccarino has resigned from NBCUniversal, clearing the way to take over Twitter soon.
On Thursday night Elon Musk said he’s hiring a new CEO for Twitter who will start in about six weeks, but didn’t name them. That’s apparently because the reported selection, Linda Yaccarino, was preparing a presentation for advertisers at her existing job with NBCUniversal.
Now NBCUniversal announced Yaccarino has resigned, so we may not have to wait six weeks to get the news officially confirmed.
