One more image and some specs just leaked out today. I added them to our story:

Archives for April 2023
Leaker SnoopyTech has shared real-life photos of the blue and black Pixel 7A on Twitter. I desperately want to see the coral one. Also, maybe Google should announce this soon?
Reliable leaker Evan Blass just shared a picture of what appears to be a coral Pixel 7A on Twitter (his account is private, so you may not be able to see the pic on Twitter). I normally just go for black phones, but I think this coral color looks fantastic.
The unannounced phone is also rumored to come in blue, black, and white.
From CEO Sundar Pichai, on Alphabet’s Q1 2023 earnings call:
We’ll share updates at Google I/O about how we are using AI across our products, including our Pixel devices, and share some exciting new developments for Android.
I/O is taking place on May 10th. You can read more about the company’s earnings in my article.
Google’s still-unannounced but leak-prone phone may let you unlock your phone with your face in addition to your fingerprint, according to an image shared by Twitter user SnoopyTech. The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro have face unlock as well.
With how much we’ve seen so far of the phone, the Pixel 7A seems like a lock for Google I/O, which takes place on May 10th.
Get your fresh and (mostly) security updates, both for anyone with a Google Pixel phone on Android 13, as well as folks running Apple devices on previous-generation software, like iOS 15 and macOS Big Sur or Monterey.
Google’s Android security notes are here, while Apple’s security notes for iOS / iPadOS 15.7.5, macOS 11.7.6, and macOS 12.6.5 show it addresses flaws fixed in last week’s iOS 16.4.1 update, which Apple says “may have been actively exploited” so you should update ASAP.

9to5Google has spotted a new Google device in the FCC’s database that could be the Pixel Tablet. It appears to be an Android device that supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and ultra wideband (UWB), but not cellular connectivity, which would be weird for a phone.
It suggests that a) the Pixel Tablet could launch soon (perhaps at Google I/O next month?) and b) it’ll support the short-range UWB wireless protocol.
Similar to Apple’s spatial audio feature in FaceTime, Google’s bringing a feature to Meet that makes audio sound like it’s coming from different directions based on the location of the person speaking on your screen. The feature’s rolling out now to the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro.
