A Switch 2 case delay yields a great apology discount.

Mechanism’s Basecase case for the Switch 2 has been delayed to early 2026. As a consolation for missing its intended launch window, the handy Switch 2 Basegrip is now just $5 (was $19) with offer code GTA6 through November 24th. This add-on makes it compatible with its fleet of accessories.

If you buy something from a Verge link, Vox Media may earn a commission. See our ethics statement.

Pokémon Pokopia might be a little more grim than it looks.

There’s a new extended trailer for Pokémon Pokopia showing off more of the monsters you’ll encounter on your cozy island like Professor Tangrowth, Peakychu, and Smearguru. It’s all very cute, but the trailer also makes it clear that these pokémon are living in the wake of some kind of wild catastrophe.

Pokémon’s landscaping spinoff is coming on March 5th.

Pokémon Pokopia is a Minecraft-like cozy game in which you play as a “Ditto that has taken the appearance of a human,” learning to build homes, farm crops, and other activities you wouldn’t expect a Ditto to do. If that sounds like your kinda game, it’ll be available on the Switch 2 next year.

Improve retro gaming on the Switch 2 with a handheld CRT dock.

If you grew up playing the Super Nintendo and N64 on a beastly tube TV, you may appreciate Joel Hartlaub’s custom dock for the Switch 2. It features an integrated CRT screen, recessed hand grips with shoulder buttons hidden inside, and speakers that outperform those on Nintendo’s latest handheld.
