There isn’t really a cuter way to start your day than with this collection of animated shorts that Nintendo has been posting on its Japanese YouTube channel. Now I just need a game in this style.
According to market research firm Circana, Nintendo’s latest console has now sold more than 2 million units in the US since it launched in June. The firm says that the Switch 2 is “currently 75 percent ahead of the unit sales pace set by the original Nintendo Switch.”

The jury is still out on whether Entei, Suicune, and Raikou are based on cats or dogs, but the trio of legendary beasts are definitely the headliners for Secluded Springs, Pokémon TCG Pocket’s latest set that’s dropping on August 28th.
Bananza is about the joy of smashing things; turns out those sounds are real! Punch an apple? That’s a real apple bite you’re hearing. But watermelons were more difficult, sound director Naoto Kubo reveals: he smashed the fruit all autumn, but had to wait for ripe ones the following year.


Horror survival has never really been the Pokemon franchise’s vibe, but Nintendo is teasing something about Legends Z-A that looks very Silent Hill-y.
Nintendo will preview Kirby AirRiders on Tuesday, August 19th at 9AM ET with game director Masahiro Sakurai. I’m so ready for a 45-minute look at the new game (and hopefully a revamp of my favorite vehicle, the Wagon Star).
We knew next year’s Pokémon World Championships would be taking place in San Francisco, but it turns out that the city will also be hosting the first Pokémon XP, a new Pokémon-themed convention that you’ll be able to buy tickets for beginning next month.




You’ll be able to find out when a color version of Panic’s game, which was previously released for Playdate, launches on Nintendo Switch and Steam on September 23rd.
