Fubo subscriptions are going up in price.

The live TV streaming service announced this week that it’s raising the price of all its plans by $5 per month, which now sit at:

Pro: $79.99 / month

Elite: $89.99 / month

Premier: $99.99 / month

Ultimate: $104.99 / month

Fubo is also raising the cost of its regional sports fee and Starz add-on by $1. It blames the increase on higher prices from programming partners and says it’s “forced to pass some of that increase on to you.”

Parenting expert Emily Oster leaves Substack.

Oster, an economist who has become a leading voice on millennial parenting, is taking her popular newsletter, ParentData, independent. In an email to subscribers on Friday morning, she said the relaunch “has been in the works for months.” The news comes as prominent writers like Casey Newton and Ryan Broderick have announced their departures from Substack after The Atlantic reported that a handful of openly Nazi newsletters have been allowed on the platform. Oster’s announcement did not reference the controversy.

Yeah!

Apple Music has posted the trailer for its Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show — and I have to say, it has gotten me pretty pumped for Usher’s performance.

I can confirm GeForce Now works better with new G-Sync support.

The service will soon support Nvidia-blessed VRR monitors, and — if your game’s running above 40fps but struggling to hit 60 — it helps! I saw a lil less tearing and visual weirdness as I moved around in Cyberpunk.

It’s less helpful if you’re not in the sweet spot, cuz Nvidia auto-lowers resolution when framerate goes too low. G-Sync is also exclusive to Nvidia’s Ultimate tier, but that’s the only flavor I recommend anyhow.

Nvidia had two identical setups on display, one with G-Sync and one without. Both were running on MacBooks, BTW.

The Rabbit R1 is “capable” of running Doom.

That’s according to Rabbit founder and CEO Jesse Lyu. With more than 20,000 of the Rabbit devices pre-sold already, I’m guessing somebody who bought one will get Doom up and running shortly after the devices ship.

The Razer Iskur V2 gaming chair’s “6D lumbar” isn’t just a gimmick.

I’ve poked some fun at Razer’s me-too gaming chairs since the beginning, but the new Razer Iskur V2’s lumbar support is nice!

I tend to lean left and right in my seat, and the “6D” lumbar comfortably tilted with me at CES. The other “Ds” are how lumbar can adjust in/out/up/down with big dials on left and right. Does it stay this comfy after hours of sitting? Here’s hoping!

The premiere of Pokémon Horizons on Netflix just got a little further away.

It was a fine day when Netflix announced that PokémonHorizons’ English dub was finally set to hit Netflix this upcoming February, but it looks like we’re actually going to be waiting until March 7th to hang out with Liko and Sprigatito in Paldea.

Instagram’s latest job cuts reportedly affect around 60 workers.

Reports from Business Insider and The Information say the impacted employees were technical program managers at Instagram. They will reportedly have until March to apply for a new role within the company.

Meta made cuts across the company last year, but it seems job cuts are continuing into 2024. Google, Discord, Twitch, and Unity all announced layoffs this month, too.
