You can now use Gemini to add Google Calendar events from Gmail.

Google Calendar now connects with Gemini in Gmail, meaning Google Workspace customers can now ask questions about upcoming events and add new ones from Gemini in the Gmail side panel. In the future, Google will also let users create events by pulling out information from emails.

Instagram is having issues playing Mark Zuckerberg’s song he made with T-Pain.

Zuck worked with T-Pain on a new version of “Get Low,” but the song initially wasn’t playing for me and some Verge colleagues on his Instagram carousel.

Now, the song works for me on iOS, but not on desktop. Meta spokesperson Sienna La Rocca confirms that this isn’t a copyright issue, however.

Update: The song is working on iOS but not on desktop.

Layoffs at AMD.

The company is laying off 4 percent of its staff, which translates to about 1,000 employees, reports CNBC. AMD has been transitioning into an AI chip company as it works to compete with Nvidia, which is now the most valuable company in the world thanks in large part to its AI chips.

Elon Musk’s xAI has a rapidly growing supercomputer that other AI companies are worried about, The Information reports. Hopefully, they also find out how the facility affects the local environment.

Don Lemon says he’s leaving X.

Lemon cited, among other things, the site’s new terms of service that require disputes to be brought in Texas courts, where a Tesla stock-owning judge recently recused himself from an advertiser lawsuit against X.

Lemon, who recently sued Elon Musk and X for canceling his talk show, pointed to his other accounts, like on the fast-growing Bluesky, where he posted for the first time today.
