Some federal employees warned not to use their cell phones after reports of Chinese-linked telecom hack.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ordered employees to scale back their use of cell phones — both personal and work-issued — amid fears that China had hacked AT&T, Verizon, Lumen Technologies, and other telecom providers.

An email from the CFPB’s chief information officer read:

Do NOT conduct CFPB work using mobile voice calls or text messages

While there is no evidence that CFPB has been targeted by this unauthorized access, I ask for your compliance with these directives so we reduce the risk that we will be compromised

Does the PS5 Pro make games look better? Here’s an attempt to show you.

The just-released PS5 Pro (here’s my review!) has a bunch of ways to amp visuals. But since Sony says most people prefer 60fps, we’re comparing the 2020 PS5’s 60fps “Performance” modes, and the new “Performance Pro” modes that give you higher detail at the same 60fps target. Plus Bloodborne for PS4.

Lego’s 3,011-piece The Endurance sets sail on November 29th.

Adding to its growing collection of doomed ocean-going vessels, Lego’s The Endurance recreates Ernest Shackleton’s ship that sunk in 1915 after being trapped in Antarctic ice for 10 months. Lego’s $269.99 version doesn’t float, but features a working steering wheel, four detachable life boats, sails, and removable panels revealing interior cabins and a replica of the ship’s steam engine.

Oura’s data shows people slept like crap on election night.

Unsurprising. Oura also found that there was a 2.3 percent increase in stressed minutes, a 19.5 percent decrease in restorative time and heart rates were 3.7 percent higher.

My own Oura data shows that I had 4 hours 30 minutes of stress on election day and eight whole hours of stress processing the results yesterday.
