The latest Garmin beta will let you find your phone with GPS.

The change log for the beta version 17.10 for Garmin watches (including the Fenix 7s Pro, Epix and Epix Pro, and Enduro 2) adds phone-finding “during an activity with GPS.”

If you aren’t part of Garmin’s public beta program, here are the sign-up instructions. (The company notes that public beta testers can’t get this update on the Marq Aviator Gen 2, unfortunately.)

The Forerunner 165 series is the budget training watch Garmin needed

The tradeoffs are well worth the savings over the slightly more advanced Forerunner 265.

The Apple Vision Pro is $150 off... if you’re feeling lucky.

Woot is selling the mixed reality headset with a one-year Apple warranty for $3,299 ($200 off), the first discount we’ve seen.

But there’s a catch: they all ship with a 21W light seal and small-sized headbands. Buying a seal separately from Apple costs $200 and the headbands are $99 apiece, so you might pay more than the retail price if you aren’t happy with the fit.

Update March 27th, 4:41PM ET: Adjusted pricing and added more specific sizing details, courtesy of Woot.

Fitbit users soon won’t be able to download third-party apps or clock faces in the EU.

The change, which will go into effect in June 2024, comes after “a careful assessment of the impact of new regulatory requirements,” Google says. It won’t impact EU users’ ability to use the apps and clock faces they’ve already downloaded.

Google already shut down Fitbit Studio, the tool used to make apps and clockfaces for Fitbit wearables last April. It also lost several other social features as its ecosystem becomes more intertwined with Google’s.

Strava is giving cyclists more ways to chase PRs.

For runners, Strava’s Best Efforts feature has been an easy way to chase PRs (and get a dopamine hit whenever you see those little medals pop up in your activity summary.) Now Strava is expanding the feature for cyclists. It’ll include new distances, elevation gain, single climbs, power, and time at specific intervals. More good news: it applies to previous rides too!
