    Let’s-a go.

Nintendo is holding its first big Direct presentation of the year in about an hour. It’s expected to last around 40 minutes, and will likely have updates on major titles like the next Zelda and Mario’s new movie adventure. My fingers are crossed for Mother 3 on the Switch. You can watch along via the embed below — or stay tuned to The Verge for all the most important news.

    Boss (Fight Books) rush.

The excellent folks over at Boss Fight Books have successfully crowdfunded a sixth season of new books exploring the history and cultural influence of different games. Most of the season is a secret, but we know one of the upcoming titles: PaRappa the Rapper by Mike Sholars. And you still have a few weeks to pre-order a book (or four) by backing the Kickstarter campaign.

    Hyping up the hunt.

Ahead of its launch next week, EA has released a new trailer for the Monster Hunter-like action game Wild Hearts. While it doesn’t show any actual gameplay, it does give a good sense of the giant foes you’ll be up against — and the inventive gadgets you can use to take them down. For more on the game, be sure to check out our interview with the directors.

Time to see if Geralt can wield a gun.

As was first announced back when Chapter 4 first dropped, everyone’s favorite bath-loving monster-hunter is now unlockable in Fortnite. He’s only available if you’ve purchased the battle pass, and you’ll need to complete a few quests first, but now Henry Cavill fans can finally pit Geralt against Superman in battle royale combat.
