Legendary and influential game designer Tomonobu Itagaki — best-known for the Dead or Alive series and reviving Ninja Gaiden — has died at 58. In a pre-written note on Facebook, published by a friend, Itagaki wrote:
My life has been a series of battles. We stayed winning.
I’ve caused a lot of trouble.
I stand by my beliefs and I owe it.
No regrets.

Night Shyamalan is co-developing a series based on the magic 8-ball that’s described as a “high-concept, character-driven supernatural drama.” I just hope it’s part of the Servant connected universe.
I’ve been waiting for this follow-up to Olija — an excellent action game you really should play — since last year, and now it finally has a release date. It’s launching November 17th on PC and the Switch.
Remedy’s Control is the next console blockbuster making the transition to mobile. It’s coming to the iPhone and iPad, as well as the Apple Vision Pro. The ports won’t launch until early next year, so you have plenty of time to read my Remedy profile in the meantime.
