The service is getting ready to launch a new sports streaming tier in time for the MLB playoffs in October, according to a report from CNBC.
Warner Bros. Discovery reportedly plans on airing the MLB games, along with upcoming games from the NBA, NHL, and NCAA, on cable and Max at the same time. The new tier will also incorporate highlights and interviews from its sports-focused Bleacher Report outlet, CNBC reports.
The companies are forming a joint venture that will provide Toyota-branded EVs to the autonomous vehicle company Pony.ai. The Level 4 vehicles can operate without a human at the wheel and will join the PonyPilot+ robotaxi network offered in China.
Last year, Pony.ai became the first autonomous car company with a taxi license in China. It has also been expanding its services throughout the country, and has started running its robotaxis without safety drivers in Beijing and Guangzhou.
Mike White, who Disney appointed last year to oversee its metaverse ambitions, has left the company, according to a report from The Ankler.
While White was reportedly supposed to assume a new role at Disney after the company broke up its metaverse division in March, it appears that never came to fruition.
